Why do you shave your eyebrows?
Because they're too blonde to see anyway, so rather than take the time (and pain) to tweeze them down to a flattering size and shape, I just shave them. It's faster and painless.

Some of your posts have weird titles. Why can't you make normal ones?
When you post as many looks as I do, it'd be easy for names to get redundent if I just went with a simple description of the look. I have a lot of brown smoky looks, ya know? So usually I pick a line out of whatever show or song I'm listening to and use that.

Why do you do slideshow tutorials more than live ones? 
Because I have problems with video quality sometimes. I can take higher quality pictures than video. Plus live videos require more editing, especially when you've got a child in the house, interrupting you all the time.

Why are you "Mama Laura" and not just "Laura?"
Because I'm a mom. I made the name several years ago and kept it. It's just my screen name. No different than any other guru's screen name. And even xsparkage goes by Leesha, when her real name is Alicia.

Why do you allow guest bloggers?
I allow guest bloggers because they can offer you information and perspective that I may not have. And if I can at all help someone get a different audience  than they might normally have (within reason - I do stick to guest bloggers that focus on beauty), then I will. I appreciate the same kind of help being given to me, so I try to give back, too.

Your blog focuses on beauty... Don't you think that's a bit superficial?
It may be superficial, but it's fun. It's what I know about, and it's what I enjoy. And I'm not alone. Just look at beauty-based magazines like In Style or Vogue. It's all the same. People like new ideas, tips, and tricks for making themselves look and feel better.
