I recently purchased a few Wet n Wild items that my local retailer had been out of for a long time. Every time I went looking, they were sold out (or at least not carrying the items yet). Finally, though, I was able to get my hands on a few of the things I had wanted. My Wet n Wild collection isn't large (yet) but so far I love everything in it. The Petal Pusher palette is no exception. Of my recent mini-haul, it was the first item that I opened and put to use. I'm not sure why I grabbed it first, but have no regrets.
The palette is from the Color Icon collection, and contains 8 eyeshadows (plus a small double ended brush). The net weight is 0.3 oz. The eyeshadows are separated into 4 groups: the first row is for your brow bone; the second row is for your eyelid; the third row is for your crease; the fourth and final row is for defining. Of course these are just suggestions, and you can use the palette in whichever way you'd like. I've recently concluded a mini-series containing 5 looks put together with this palette, to give some ideas on the versatility you're getting with it.
None of the eyeshadows are matte. There are a couple that are more on the matte side than others that are packed full of shimmer/glitter, but none of them are fully matte. That's one area where I feel this palette lacks. The two darkest colors; a black (definer) and a burgundy (crease) are the most glittery of the bunch, however the glitter is very fine. The shimmery mauve (eyelid) and the periwinkle purple (definer) are also more of a glitter, but their glitter is even more fine, resulting in more of a shimmer eyeshadow, in my opinion. The light pink brow bone shadow is very frosty, though the off white shade is less so and almost has a purpley pink duo chrome to it. There's a light, dusty mauve purple kind of color that's one of the more matte shades. It does have some very fine glitter and/or shimmer, but there's so little that it's honestly hard to tell and describe. Last, you've got a medium dark purple, with a blue base, that I'd put on the shimmery/frosty side. It's a very lovely and versatile shade.
The colors wear well. I've experienced very little fading, and only once did I notice any creasing (I do use an eyeshadow primer). They blend well, which I attribute to how soft and silky these shadows are. They've got that creamy feel to them, which is nice. Luckily, I haven't found these shadows to give a muddy result when blended, which I admit I feared based on how soft and easy they are to blend. Check out the pictures below for my swatches just to see how pigmented these eyeshadows are - one swipe with my fingertips was all it took (and the result is no different with a makeup brush).
