Review: Covergirl Last Blast Fusion

I've been using Covergirl Last Blast Fusion mascara on and off for about a month now and figured it was time to review it for you all. Originally, it was a spare (unopened) that my mom had and gave to me once when I was at her place. I can't remember why I needed mascara (if I took my makeup off, spent the night, went swimming, or what) but luckily she had just bought a few of these and let me have one. I marked mine to keep it distinguishable from the one she uses (so please excuse that in the photos), and kept it there for when mascara emergencies occured. A few days ago, however, I had to say goodbye to my Million Lashes mascara and take this guy home (to avoid buying a new mascara).

Now, I have to say, I like this mascara a lot more than I thought I would. I had heard good reviews from a couple of people, but can be picky when it comes to mascara so I'm always skeptical when trying one for the first time. I was definitely impressed by this one, though.

This mascara separates my lashes well and elongates them. It doesn't thicken incredibly, but it does the job without getting clumpy or crunchy, which is more important to me. The brush is different than the average mascara. It's fatter, has shorter bristles, and is kind of squared. It was intimidating at first, but it works well on my upper lashes. It's a bit too big for my lower lashes, hence the messiness, but it does still work on them.

I haven't noticed any flaking with this mascara, and it removes with a baby wipe with average effort - I'm not scrubbing my eyes to get it off, but it doesn't wipe off at the first touch either. It doesn't irritate my eyes, nor does it seem to harm my eyelashes.

My favorite thing about this mascara is how it doesn't clump my lashes together and that while 2 coats gives me noticeably more length (than just 1 coat), it doesn't look like I've got 2 coats of mascara on. The brush works on my upper lashes, of course, but I do wish it were slightly less bulky for my lower lashes. That's pretty much my only complaint, so I'm going to give this mascara...

I love it and would definitely re-purchase and recommend.
