I recently had the chance to head over to Athena, a local spa/salon, to get my nails done - boy did they need it! It had been about 3 weeks since I had had them done last...

See how grown out they were? This was taken during my camping trip last weekend.
And here they are now...
I got the flowers and the fruit at Sally's. The flowers are real, but dyed, and the fruit is made out of clay. My lovely nail tech and pal, Amanda, sandwiches the pieces between layers of acrylic. She makes a glitter acrylic mix for the bed of my nail, and then sometimes she custom mixes the colored acrylic for the tip, and sometimes we find a pre-made one that we like. My current tips are done in a glow-in-the-dark acrylic, and along with the fruit slices I brought in, Amanda also added some jewels. I love them!
