Bridal: Sarah

I recently did makeup for a beautiful bride named Sarah, and just saw a couple of the professional pictures so I thought I'd share with you guys :) If you've "liked" my Facebook page, you've probably already seen these.

Sarah wanted simple makeup for her big day. Originally she was thinking of eyeshadows in the brown family, but when going over example photos together, a photo featuring a pink eye caught her own. In the end, she opted for a light mauve eye with a darker mauve crease. The colors really suited her features without distracting from them.

Sarah feels her eyeliner and mascara are a staple of hers, so she wanted to keep with that, and opted for black liquid liner along her top lash line and a few layers of mascara and no falsies. I normally wouldn't suggest a bride go without false eyelashes, but I think Sarah made a sound choice.

One thing I was able to get Sarah to let me test out, and ultimately go with, was the filling in of her brows. I think some clients have a silent panic attack when I mention that, because of my own eyebrows, but there's no need. I'm well aware that most women are not into my eyebrows and would never want them for themselves. Sarah was cool and let me show her how I would easily and subtly enhance them, and was pleased with the results so we did stick with that on the day of.

I'm so happy to have been part of such a special day for this wonderful couple. I wish them all of the luck and happiness possible.
