Review: MAC Opulash mascara

When I got my makeup done at MAC for my birthday last month, one of the things that I spent the required $50 on was Opulash mascara. I was out of my normal mascara and figured why not try something new?

I like it okay, but I don't love it. I definitely don't like it as much as Bad Gal Lash, my all time favorite, or Cover Girl VolumeExact.

It doesn't do the best job at separating my lashes and that's really my biggest complaint. My second complaint is that when it does happen to flake off or if  my eye waters and wets the mascara (it isn't waterproof, so far as I can tell), it does sting when it gets into my eyes. Other than that it works just fine. It really doesn't flake off typically - I have to be touching my eye or had to have worn it for a LONG time for that sort of thing to happen. And it's not terribly difficult to remove with a makeup wipe.

In my opinion, it's definitely one that works best with just one coat.

So I'm not particularly impressed, but I don't think it was a complete waste of money either (it's $14). Still, I won't be purchasing this mascara again.

Adding in the fact that I wouldn't recommend this mascara versus any others I've ever used, I'm going to give this one... 2 out of 5 stilettos.
