ShoeDazzle.com *updated*

*See bottom of entry for update as of November 2009*

Several weeks ago someone in a MySpace makeup group posted about ShoeDazzle.com, Kim Kardashian's "premier shoe society". Here's how it works, per the website...

ShoeDazzle's fashion experts choose the hottest shoes for you every month based on YOUR individual personality and tastes. The shoes we pick for you will express your individuality and sense of style. Distinctive, yet trend-right.

how it works

  • 1Take our Fashion Survey:
It only takes a few minutes for us to get to know your style.
  • 2 Our stylists pick 5 shoes for you:
Based on your survey results, our fashion experts provide you with a choice of 5 fashionable shoes each month, from which you choose one. If you do not like your choices, you can select "Skip this Month" and you won't be charged for that month.
  • 3 Choose the pair you want:
We provide free shipping*. If you are unsatisfied with your shoes, simply return them to us using the pre-printed return shipping label provided with your order.*
View more details.

pricing: $39 / pair

ShoeDazzle is a monthly membership society. Every month, for just $39, you will receive an extraordinary pair of shoes. The shoes are handpicked for you by our fashion experts. There is no obligation to purchase shoes once you register, and you are charged only after you choose your first pair of shoes. In any month, you may select the "Skip This Month" button in your account section between the 1st and 5th of the month and you will not be charged.

Sounded like a cool deal. Do a little survey, then have be presented with a few pairs of shoes that "experts" think you would like. If you want a pair, select it and have it sent to you for $39. Easy, and relatively inexpensive. I figured I would try it... See if it was the real thing, or too good to be true.

I'm happy to report that it's truly as easy as it sounds, the selections were nice, and there have been no hidden fees or complications.

So I did my survey, which is a series of "which do you prefer" questions. They'd present you with 2 different pairs of shoes, or 2 different head-to-toe outfit, and you would tell them which you prefer. I don't remember how many different questions there were, to be honest. Maybe 20? And though it says it'll be a few days before you're presented with your shoe showroom, I would say mine was about 24 hours.

This is what was in my showroom...

I liked all of them, except the gold pair. I decided on Sultana - the pair on the top right side. At this point, the first two pairs are out of stock, the pair I chose is low stock, and the last two pairs are in stock.

I finally placed my order on 9/22 (took me a while to decide which pair to get lol), and got the shipment notification on 9/24. The shoes arrived on 9/26. This is what arrived...

Please excuse my dry feet and legs lol. I had just gotten back from a day in the sun, in flip flops at a festival :) Excuse the dirty mirror as well. Lastly, I had forgotten to turn the the upper strap on one of shoes.

Anywho, I'm 100% pleased with the shoes. They fit great and they look great. Definitely of good quality. I have zero gripes about them. The shipping was obviously quick, which makes me super happy. Who likes waiting, right? Can't wait to wear them out, and see what I have to choose from next month!

I definitely give Shoe Dazzle my stamp of approval!

I'll update periodically on what I get in the future.

Halloween makeup

This year I dressed up as the Queen of Hearts :)

These are the best pictures I got of my makeup.

I'm going to skip the talk of face products, since they're all the same as usual. Same with my eyebrows and all of that.

* On my lid I did red on the inner corner, blended in to black. For the red I used Rubie's Cream Makeup in red, with the true red from the 88 palette over it. For the black, I used the same brand of cream makeup as a base, but obviously in black, then I used the black from the 88 palette over it. I did the red up to my brow obviously, and blended it back into my highlight (MAC's Nylon).
* My lashes are random Halloween lashes.
* My lipstick was MAC's Russian Red.
* The blush all around my temple area was MAC's Frankly Scarlet.
* The glitter was MAC's 3D silver glitter.

I did my friend's makeup as the Cheshire cat. She didn't want whiskers, hence their absence.

* All the pink on her eyes and face is MAC's Azalea blush.
* All of the purple is MUFE #92, with the exception of a tiny bit of Creme De Violet.
* Hot pink liner on her top lid is a random liquid liner found at Hot Topic.
* Lips = MAC's Girl About Town lipstick with MAC's Funtabulous dazzleglass.
* Purple pencil liner was also used, which is another random item found at Hot Topic. I really love their colored pencil liners.
* Black on her nose is MAC's Black Track fluidline.
* Pink glitter was a random cheapo from Claire's... The purple was MAC's Fuchsia glitter

I used one of my MUFE concealer palettes on her, but other than that she's just got her Studio Fix Fluid on.
