MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics

Is it just me, or is MAC completely ignoring the fact that we're in a recession right now? Releasing such a huge collection at this point leave me scratching my head in wonder. I realize that this huge financial problem is a US thing, and MAC doesn't sell exclusively to the states, but it does suck to see such a big and awesome collection being launched right now knowing that a lot of us will be forced to miss out on some great products in order to save much needed dough.

The Makeup Art Cosmetics collection has a US release date of August 20th, 2009 (just a day after my birthday!) and an international release date of September 2009. This collection is all about makeup as an art which is really what MAC was originally all about. For those who weren't aware, MAC actually stands for makeup art cosmetics. MAC formed this pretty massive collection with the help of three artists; Richard Phillips, Maira Kalman, and Marilyn Minter.
